No fewer than three times by the winter of 1883 had I heard Sherlock Holmes disparage the ways of lovers and their irrational tendencies toward writing letters. With this often and loudly-expressed opinion in mind, I was very surprised indeed to find a stack of unsent, unsealed letters in a drawer in his desk.

Cheating a little here :P Obviously everyone know of Sherlock Holmes, and I've seen the BBC show, but I haven't read the books which this fic references the characters from. It's the closest I've got, though.

Early teenage awakenings, unrequited love, pining, coming of age, and feelings. Lots of feelings.

Okay ngl I don't remember most of this fic, and I think I even read it twice??? But I think about the scene where Merlin kisses Arthur underwater in the pool at Arthur's birthday party so much. Something about that scene just latched itself onto my heart and just lives there forever now I guess.

IT Chapter 2's ending hurts real bad and this fic is just one big bandaid. I think it was the first fic I read for IT, and it just healed all my wounds... watered my crops... cleared my pores.

There's a number of fics that would fit here honestly, and I pretty much just picked this one at random lol. This fic was my first real exposure to written horror and what made me realize I might really enjoy that genre! I generally hate horror, but reading about stories where everything's fucked up and the characters are suffering hardcore?? Plus all the body horror and such are halfway intriguing when they're described though I'd never want to see visual depictions of it haha. Honestly, it's a great fic if you love seeing the characters you love suffer (...and fall in love? hmm yeah).

I wouldn't actually say it converted me into a shipper, but I did really enjoy it despite having no interest in the ship. I don't generally branch out from my ships, but this one did make me consider the ship briefly.

Not a very popular one (or rather one with very...divided thoughts?) but I really like Omegaverse, and man this is a good, good, good one. I'm also a huge sucker for characters getting broken and slowly put back together. This one really has it all.

Like that.

The whole anime is like that re: making people feel seen, honestly. But there's a line in this fic from Maki that just,,, really echoed with me.

I haven't checked the diagonals, but not a single bingo lmao. I'd like to come back to this as I find more fics (and maybe even reread others since there were a bunch in my bookmarks I can't remember at all!)
