In your own space, promote a canon/talk about a part of canon that you love.
How about a few things I saw in the last year or so that I'd highly recommend?

The Gifted is a Thai series about students with special powers and an unjust school. The story, the characters, and the production quality is just... really amazing, especially considering this is a show that's free to watch on the production company's Youtube. Actually, GMMTV does quite a few good shows, but this one's by far my favorite. Seriously though, it's only 13 episodes, and the whole show had me at the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and just what the school administration was hiding. The first few episodes are extra cool because they focus on each character and their powers, and it's almost like each episode follows a different genre perfectly suiting the character it's focused on!

Okay I'm like a couple decades late on this one, but if you haven't seen Natsume Yuujinchou, you absolutely should. It's about a guy who can see supernatural spirits/monsters. His grandmother had collected a book of spirits names, which gives the holder power over them, and Natsume is trying to return these spirits' names to them. More than that, though, it's about the relationships and connections between people. It's just a really soft, wholesome anime.

Fire Emblem is a strategic rpg series in which you control an army on a gridded map with turn-based combat. In Three Houses, you play as Byleth, a mercenary turned professor. This game is somewhat like if a visual novel and chess decided to have a baby. Instead of chess pieces, you get a cast a lovable characters whose relationships with each other and Byleth grow as they fight together, unlocking conversations between the characters. You can play as either male or female Byleth, and the "bi" in Byleth isn't just for show. They each have a number of options for same-gender relationships. There's a lot of replayability in that the house you choose not only decides which characters you interact with, but also the the events that occur later in the game. It's a really good game, and I highly recommend it.

I've never got involved in rpg either, but I think that's because I never let myself because I thought it would take up too much of my time. That sounds like fun though!
Thank you for sharing!

Hey, fellow FE3H player! LOL love your if a visual and chess have a baby description there. Yeah the characters are great and I even began writing fanfics for it mid last year!
(Also saw another post mentioning you want to do the other routes besides Blue Lions. I did all the routes but I want to do BL again eventually lol)
