questionoftheday asks: When was the last time you got to tell someone “I told you so”? Was it a petty thing or something more serious?
My answer: "I told y'all it was a good movie." - me @ my family after we watched Into the Spiderverse today. Seriously, that movie is just,,,, amazing. It looks amazing. The story? Amazing. The characters? Amazing!!! There's all these little (amazing) details that just make for such a strong, compelling narrative. Literally everything about it is stellar. I've discovered something I call the Spiderverse paradox:
- Watch Into the Spiderverse
- It's so good you want to see it again
- Rewatch Into the Spiderverse
- Rewatching it has renewed your desire to see it again
It never ends. If I won free movie tickets tomorrow you can bet your ass I would absolutely be watching Spiderverse for the third time in the row. It needs to hit Netflix immediately. In fact hONESTLY,,, once it's up for purchase I might even buy it... maybe I can make that one of my birthday gifts. "Oh no, I don't want anything
now, but once Spiderverse hits DVD, I will gladly accept that as a retroactive birthday gift."
