Full of Love February - Day 1

Day 1 - I love Free! (and I very much ship RinHaru)
Today I go for the Big and Obvious which I cannot (and will not) shut about: Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. If you by some horrible tragedy don't know what it is, Free! is an anime about competitive swimmers in high school. It basically follows Haru (who I so lovingly drew to the left) and his friends as they form a swim club and reconcile with an old teammate, Rin.
This is honestly,,, my number one absolute favorite anime. It's very focus on the characters and their relationships with each other and the story just??? rly reached out and strangled my heart. It's beautifully animated (a feature which only gets better and better in the following seasons, tho I would argue the story kinda does the opposite) and it's just??? idk I rly rly love it.
I also wanna drop a special shout out to Haruka Nanase who I love so very, very much. He's a character I rly relate to (while also being... so very, very much my type). He's quiet... something of a loner (at the beginning at least), but he's very passionate about his interests and he rly cares about his friends.
In another (non)shocker, today's Ship of The Day is RinHaru!! I'd say from about episode 4, I was absolutely 100% sold on RinHaru, and that conviction has only intensified over the course of the series. Like... if we're being 100% honest, the entirety of season 1 is focused on Rin and Haru's relationship. That isn't even remotely a stretch! And there's just,,,, oh gosh there's so much that happens where it's like? Rin and Haru care about each other like really, really, really care about each other. They challenge each other and motivate and inspire each other. God I just want to spam like,,, a million different quotes and screenshots and gifs of these two and their interactions but I won't sdfghjhfdfgh but if you're interested, I did just that in regards to my favorite episode here.
