Day 9 - I love snow! (and I very much ship DirkJake!)

We got hit by a snow storm this weekend that pretty unusual for this area (not that I'd know having only just moved here), and as a result, we got several inches of snow. It's so, so pretty outside, and it's so much fun going outside and kicking up all the snow. I was a little disappointed how with the last snowfall, wherever you walked, you could see the ground under your footsteps... It made me not want to walk around too much or else everything would turn brown/green :/

But right now there's so much snow that when you walk it just leaves footprints in the snow!!! It's so cool haha. I got snow up past my ankles from walking around and kicking up the snow, and my dog was having so much fun running around. I even had fun shoveling snow off the driveway ngl. It's just... really pretty and really fun. The only downside and something I'd never considered about winter fashion is how long it takes to put on... You can't exactly get ready in a couple minutes when you're pulling on leggings, jeans, a long sleeve, a hoodie, a coat, gloves, a hat, aND appropriate shoes with laces!! It's worth it tho c:

So, this wasn't my like... initial major Homestuck otp back when that was my Thing, but it's definitely the most long-lasting one because I still hold DirkJake very near and dear to my heart. Top pros of this ship: they actually date IN CANON!! (What what what?? Me shipping a legitimate canon ship?) Cons of this ship: They not only date in canon... they broke up in canon ;;;;;;;;;;;;

Which, yeah my heart. It cries. But I still really, really ship it! These are two boys who had little to no human contact growing up and they grew up in some really messed up situations, so like... the fact that so soon after meeting each other in person, they jumped into a relationship, and it didn't work isn't really... that surprising. And I don't think it's completely unsalvageable! I honestly think that at the point they were at personally neither of them were really ready for a relationship with anyone.

But in my heart of hearts I honestly want to believe that after their break up, they were able to take some time to really work out their personal issues and learn how to like... actually interact with other people. And after that personal growth, a re-attempted relationship between them isn't out of the question? Maybe?? ;; In the epilogue, they're shown to be really, really close (if not explicitly in a relationship) so like? All hope isn't lost for these two ;u;

Day 3 - I love my dog!! (and I very much ship Viktuuri)

This is my puppy! His name's Lincoln, he's about 3 years old, and we adopted him from the shelter <3 It's kind of really funny. My mom had been looking through the shelter website and had pointed a dog named Big Heart out to me. A few days later, the art museum was having a free admission day, and we were planning to meet up after my classes to go. When I got off the train, I saw they had a mobile pet adoption! And for the month of September, pet adoptions were completely free!! I sent my mom pics of some of the dogs and she was like "THAT'S THE DOG! That's the dog I showed you!! Stay there and make sure no one takes him."

We never did make it to the art museum c,: Instead we took home a super sweet, excited puppy (with a quick detour to Petco to get some supplies haha).

Aah we were so lucky to get Yuri!!! on Ice honestly... and Viktuuri was just so, so fucking blessed.
