coyoteclaw11Part 2 of my DMMd playthrough! I'm gonna be watching them in the suggested order (Koujaku, Noiz, Mink, Clear, Ren), so first up is Koujaku!
Initial Thoughts/Previous Memories
Overall, my original impression of Koujaku is that he's pretty creepy. He's Aoba's childhood friend, and that whole "childhood friend with a crush on you" vibe can get rly ick rly fast :/// He's pretty hot-headed and comes with a whooooole bunch of drama regarding his ~magical tattoo~ that causes him to go hog wild and murder his family??? In his route he like tries to rape Aoba??? It's bad, man. Do not much like this dude. Of the available dating pool, I'd say he's 2nd from the bottom (because Mink??? so much worse omg...) All I remember from his good ending is that he and Aoba move in together maybe? And Koujaku ends up cutting Aoba's hair short (which is a whole Big Thing bc Aoba, the little weirdo, has like super sensitive hair that literally hurts when ppl touch it??? idk) In his bad ending Koujaku just goes Beast Mode and fucks everything up.
Ah I just remembered when they fuck, Koujaku just straight up gets a nosebleed????? sdfghjk
Playthrough Thoughts
Okay, so aaaaactually I'm kinda feeling Koujaku is not that creepy. Tbh idk if I'm just currently hella affection starved or what, but he just. Really seems to care about Aoba. It's really funny tho because he's actually described as this really chill, easy-going guy, but throughout the common route, he just sees all the others (Noiz, Mink, & Clear) as huge threats to Aoba and is constantly fighting with them because of it... especially Noiz. He really, really hates Noiz lmao. Then, in his route, he's dealing with the issue of his Cursed Tattoo and the man who gave it to him, so he's all kinds of sketchy and distant and weird about that. So, Koujaku spends about 80-90% of the game out of character lmaooo
Honestly, tho idk he's just the character who's like. The most there for Aoba, just under his Grandma and above Mizuki & Clear. The amount of times he comes running when he thinks Aoba's in danger c,: He'd kick anyone's ass for him. If it weren't for his personal issues and his past (which I don't remember how that happened yet... I'm only half-way through his route at the moment haha), he'd actually be a really good option.
Did I mention that Aoba has like zero brain cells? Because he does. Dumbass twink.

I was so mentally checked out for half of my first series of playthroughs (aka going through the different routes) that I totally didn't even register this, but near the end of Koujaku's route, Aoba's just like "It's fine" or "iiyo" like a million fucking times no wonder ppl were constantly memeing on this sdfghjkl
SLAMS FUCKING DOOR OPEN WOW!!! I would've had a completely different view of Koujaku this entire time if I'd actually seen the bad ending before. What the fuck was that? That was bullshit that's what!!! Koujaku deserved so much fucking better than this!!!!!!! I think ur entire view on Koujaku is how bad u feel for him after seeing the bad ending, and lemme tell u I fucking feel!!!!! I'm just??? *kicks door down* Everything bad Koujaku's ever done in his entire fucking life was forced upon him against his will!!!!!!! And hey uhhhhhhhh what the FUCK white-Aoba treating the mindless beast Koujaku as ur fucking pet fuck you. Oh my god. I am so mad rn honestly what the fuck Koujaku didn't deserve that At All.

Koujaku cut Aoba's hair and saved it in a box dfGHJK aaaaaand the creepiness is back. Just a little, but it's there.
Awww It's all done. Final verdict: Koujaku is good actually... but still kinda creepy. Aoba's a fuckin weirdo tho so it's fine. Koujaku's Bad Ending isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Granted, in the ranking of "Not that bad" to Worst bad endings, his was always around 2nd. I just thought there'd be a way bigger gap. There's still a bit of a gap tho bc even tho Aoba isn't abused in Koujaku's, he becomes the abuser so like... yikes
Anyway!! Next up is Noiz and hoo boy am I excited <3333 Best Boy Noiz comin right up (after I get some sleep lmao)
